Kingfisher [ UK ]

Managed to get lucky this afternoon after a 4 hour wait,weather was pretty overcast, the best i could get was 1/200th,f5.6 and iso 400. One of these days i`ll catch him with decent light.

I saw the little fellow on saturday but only had half an hour and no camo gear so no chance to get a shot. He sure has a huge area to fish and thousands of ideal fishing branches. Ever likely you had a long wait. Well captured.

John Deakin do you get the Malakite Kingfisher over Knysna way? Would love to see a good capture of that guy. We used to get them flitting around on the lake where I lived in Noordhoek. Never managed to capture one actually sitting ... but then I only had a Kodak 2mp 3x zoom P&S then
