SX10is and Nokia N95.
I still regret getting the SX10 as a "gateway camera" instead of going straight to a DSLR (I had a fairly nice Fuji superzoom which the SX replaced)

Am also thinking about picking up a cheaper small P&S to keep in my car too.

Mine is an old, beat up, SD450. It still produces great shots and I don't have to worry about it... just throw it around, etc...

After my S2IS got stolen the insurance replaced it with the SX10iS. Nice little playthings. My wife normally uses it, and don;t you just hate it when you set up a picture, RAW, Manual settings, etc, she comes up, "Oh that looks nice" takes the SX10 (auto mode) and produces a picture that makes yours to shame. Hehe, fortunately I am getting better though, but oh the humiliation.

Good camera - nice long zoom (better than any I have for my 500D - equivilant to 560mm) and very sharp. The ISO just sucks over 200 and the Auto ISO LOVES 400 for some reason! When I do not want to take my 500D and lenses, it is a nice light carryable alternative with good features. And damn, it takes nice bird shots!
