A610 and an A620. neither have ever failed me, and have often captured a better image than the DSLR has - at least until I get better at using the DSLR....

but they will still go along until they die. I'm kind scared of that though, been spoiled by the images they produce. replacing them is the primary reason I went DSLR in the first place Broke the first 610 on my honeymoon. couldn't find a P&S that was as clean. so I got an XS and about a month later a 610 showed up on fleabay.

Sony H-5, bought new back in 2006. It got me started in digital and wildlife photography, so I owe much to that camera.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I have a Canon SD880IS that I absolutely adore. Great colors, big LCD, durable as hell (dropped it in a bit of a drunken state on some gravel, left it there through a torrential downpour overnight, let it dry out and it's still working as new.) Probably have close to 8,000 photos from it in the year that I've owned it. But since I picked up my DSLRs it has definitely seen more limited use. The only thing that could possibly make me upgrade is an update to the S90 sending the current models down in price.

Had a g.e. 9mp, not really good at anything p&s. Waited and waited for the g-11 release, got it, and love it. Fantasic camera when you want to travel light and still have gobs of control. mike

gear - canon XSI , 55-250 is, G-11, shoulder bag, and lots of books.

A 10Mp Nikon Coolpix P5000 - Quite a good little camera if you give it loads of light, but a bit mediocre on a dull day with noise starting to show.

Also it's a Nikon
