I would like to add that the lens takes pretty solid pictures. Sharp and solid so far for me. Anyone else happy with it? I know the not so low F stop isn't great, but for outdoor use it seems fine to me. This is an untouched photo, only adjustments were done in the camera.

Sharpness: +3
Contrast:+2
Saturation: +2
Color Tone: +2

I bought that lense a while back for my 30D. I LOVE the lense and made it my all around everyday lense for quite some time. Reliable, fast focus, I love that thing. I would put it up there with my Canon EF 24-105mmf/4L IS USM.

Hold still while I change my lens...

I have the lens too and think it's great. I'd love to see a 100% crop of your photo, though :)

Yes. I like the 28-135 but will have to check out the 50mm 1.8 on order. :)

The 50mm 1.8 is without a doubt a favorite of mine. Very sharp and solid colors. Plus it is so light :)

In reality the 50 1.8 is so great because it is so cheap. Under any kind of low light it does not focus. Usually, that is why you purchase a 1.8 lens is for it's low light abilities and this is where the 50 1.8 drops the ball.

Yeah never had an issue with this, but I am not shooting in dark conditions with it. I would rather use a flash to help.
