Awesome thread. I want to subscribe so I can keep on the updated list, but have a few additions that a photographer recommended to me:

12 pairs of cheap dollar store sunglasses for the wedding party between shots
Tide to go pen
White and dark garbage bags for ladies to sit on

Also, what's a leatherman?

Remember that you can get into trouble giving anyone medicine!! So watch it. Once you use makeup powder unless you have seperate puffs it cannot be sanitary, same with eye drops or other personal toiletries
I have a shi* bag for just this reason. Some other things to consider,
Clothes pins, hair pins, duct tape, gaffers tape, Nylons (new) black, white and red bow ties for tuxes, tux buttons, hemming tape, zip lock baggies all sizes, saran wrap (saved table top in the rain) spare pens, pencils, crayons, lots of batteries (had to replace the mike batts for the video weenie once he failed to prepare properly), Super glue, hair spray, clean or new combs, hair clips, Tampons and pads, UMBRELLAS!!!
Cheese and cracker packets, bottled water, tea bags, preparation H (great for reducing zits), first aid kits, 3x5 cards, rubber bands, hack saw, double stick tape, garment tape, moist toweleltes, hand cleaner, rubber or nitrile gloves, garbage bags, c clamps, hand clamps and magic arm, sand bags, god know what else...

WOW, Les...but a great addition to our list.

I think I will get busy and start to fill a bag with some of these items and add on as I go.

I am thinking some of the meds listed are for the photog, not anyone else, but put the disclamer up there to be sure.

Thank you so much

I started this thread because I learned about pipe cleaners for cleaning off pollen, and thought, wow, what else do we carry "in case of" in our bags.

Edited for understanding...Pollen cleaned off clothing, or people!

RUNNING LIST OF ITEMS SUGGESTED SO FAR:
**be careful in giving medicines to anyone else other then youself, you can get into trouble for this!**

Bobby Pins
Translucent Powder (several puffs for sanitary reasons)
Mirror
Cleaning wipes
Toys to give to small children to help them behave
Lens Cloth
Leatherman
Tap
Extra Garments
Food
Drink
Glue
A Bell - to get little ones attention, a pretty one so if they HAVE to hold it, it will look ok in the picture
eye drops
12 pair of dollar store sunglasses for bridal party to wear for picture
Tide to go Pen
White or Dark Garbage Bag for Bride to sit on
Pepto Bismal or Immodium
Clothes pins
hair pins
duct tape

black, white and red bow ties for tuxes
tux buttons
hemming tape

Oy, sorry for the oversight. I just finished processing a HUGE wedding this morning and am barely functioning.

I always take spare shoes in the car. During my first wedding the sole came off the pair I was wearing!

So you put your heart and SOLE into it? Good job te he.
On the meds issue I agree, I am Type II diabetic and many of my meds
have adverse effects on my tummy. So imodium is ever present. I too keep spare clothes in the truck.

I also view my truck as equipment. May I make suggestion that you take a short course in make-up application too. I work very close with one the best here in Northern CA and have learned boat loads re: sanitary issues etc.

As I printed my list and started to get a few things together

I thought of one more

small sewing kit...

Just recently had a little flower girl rip the hem out of her dress before the wedding, the sewing kit was great to tack her back up till after the wedding ceremony.
