Hello all, im going to shoot a friends sisters senior pictures (she missed her deadline, and asked if i could do them for her). Well anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Im pretty confident with composure ect, what i worry about is printing. I normally have prints done at wolf camera or sams club, but is there someone out there who can do the senior style printing? all the different sizes? on one sheet type deal? you know how we had are pictures printed in school? well any ideas, please let me know!! thanks

XTI.

I had a pretty good experience with Snapfish (external link) for that type of work last season, and I thought they did very reasonable work. I know there are other online services around, but Snapfish is the only one I've tried.

mpix.com

Very easy to use, great prints and good prices. I get the prints on the second day after ordering.

Zeus, almost any lab can handle the printing, including Wolfs or Sam's. Personally, I like WHCC or UPI.

However, for 'senior photos' you don't want the basic underclass unit prints. (one 5x7 and 4wallets on one 8x10 sheet etc. type deal) Senior photos are a step above and are usually priced and delivered on a per image basis with the exception of wallets which are sold in sets. Even they are usually die-cut before delivery.

thanks everyone, yeah im really trying to figure out exactly how to go about doing this. Im confident with my photoraphy skills, but have little to know printing experience with such work. im used to print 11x14 and larger sized through CS3. Is there anywhere i can get a template as to fittin say 2x3 wallets on a standard 8x10 or so sheet? What is the normal approach? Loading and sizing through photoshop, then cutting pictures onto a new canvas? Thanks again!
