My 1st Macro Post--Caterpillars

This is my first macro post. :D Found a couple of caterpillars and decided it was a good opportunity to try my new 100mm Macro lens. :D The top one is a Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar, I believe, and the bottom an Eyed Tiger Moth Caterpillar hanging out on a branch. I found sizing the photos harder than taking them. Comments welcome.

Definitely like the second one - looks almost like surreal fireworks! I know what you mean about sizing the pictures - if you try for 100%, then the critter is so small in the original, its almost not macro anymore. Again, nice work!

Thanks for the comments.

Trace- the caterpillar belongs to the "Woollybears". They are actually quited fuzzy and will not hurt you. Here's another one I found on the picnic table. This one was much bigger, and also turns into some type of tiger moth. Glad you enjoyed them.
