Had probably the hardest wedding of my life today, everything was behind schedule, and running very late! I took the normal shots that where expected of me, but I shot with 3 cameras today! I used the 20D with 30mm F1.4 A LOT! just for something different, I fully planned to crop them and make all the shots I took with the 30mm b&w. And here are some of results. Not everyones cup of tea I'm sure, just cool to try some different things.

Great relaxed portrait of the groom! That looks like a really interesting ceremony location. Do you have a shot from further back? Looks like you did well w/their skin tones, which I know you were a little worried about. You know I love B&W, but would also like to see some in color! ;) 2, 5 & 6 are my favOrites!

I like these. Especially #5. I think #1 might look better with a little tilt to it, but that's just me. Love the B/W.

Wow, neat idea, LOL

#1 Seems underexposed to me.

#2 Is awesome. A fantastic shot, I love the casual nature of it and the B&W is perfect for this!

#3 Doesn't really do much for me.

#4 Another outdoor ceremony eh? Awesome! Looks like you had to deal with some bad lighting on the bride's face. Nicely done though.

#5 Cute - the duotoned flowers made for a very nice B&W conversion

#6 Awesome - looks like he's looking slightly left though. Do you have one of him looking @ the camera?

#7 Nice. I like the B&W for this. Again, the flowers look great in B&W

Overall, I know this was tough but I don't think the shots are lacking. Great work as usual :)

And just remember this was a sample of the shots I specifically shot with only the 30mm lens, and cropped them. I have a bunch more "regular" shots on my blog.

How's this? I don't like the DOF on this one though, I bumped it up to about F3.2 for this one, the other one was wide open, but at least he's looking at the camera.

That one looks much better imo Jeff. The DOF change is insignificant imo ... she's still blurred very nicely :)
