Hi. Does anyone have any sample shots of an UWA lens on a 1D series (1.3x crop)?

I'm really interested in the Tokina 12-24 at 12mm. I understand there will be black corners. I want to see how much.

Can the sigma 10-20 fit on it and work at 10mm?

I guess my real question is, what is the absolute widest I can get on a 1.3x camera with an UWA lens, and maybe even a fisheye?

Thanks.

instead of the Tokina and Sigma 10-20, just go for the Sigma 12-24 which is designed to work for FF which means that you can use it at 12mm without any vignetting.

Hmmm, when I had a 1DMIIN, I tried a Tokina 12-24 and a Sigma 10-20 as well. Eventually used a Sigma 15mm fisheye for wides though.
The Tokina stopped vignetting at around 16mm, the Sigma 10-20 at about 11-12 but if you stopped down, the vignetting got worse though. The 15mm fish was good, but I got tired of the fisheye effect.

If you really want ultrawide on a 1D series, sigma 12-24 which is made for full frames is the only real option. Fisheyes are another option, but the distortion limits it's use. For occassional use, I guess teh Sigma 10-20 can fill in as well, but you really can't stop that lens down at the wide end, which kinda isn't good for an ultrawide.

Thanks for the replies. I've been seeing threads with the Tokina a lot which is why I asked about it. But if the Sigma 12-24 is actually designed for FF, then I think I'll research it a little more and might lean towards getting it since there will be no vignetting.
