JR92: You bought a D-60 for 630$US ???
That is impossible. Did you receive it yet?
Either you are part of the scam or you are about to be scammed...

No I made it all up to make friends on this forum, yes I did purchase one for $630US. If you look above you will see that the person who sold it to me got a handful of money when the currency conversion was broke down. I have tracked the shipment and should receive tommorow. So call me a fool, but when I get it I will call you jealous.

The polish guy is on EBAY again. I have tried emailing 3 different addresses and have recieved no answer...

Using a different user name than the one JR posted here. I guess he didnt' like the one negative comment calling him a fraud.

Also selling a d-30. I am real leary. Why a private auction? Could it be so people can't warn the people bidding? Or maybe it is so people can't see some bidding with names like "Iseeathief"...

JR emailed me. He is a straight up guy. I don't doubt his integrity. I guess we will all be waiting until he gets back to verify his package. If it is alright, I am sure there will be a lot of cameras sold out of Poland soon ...

LOL

I can appreciate that JR sounds like a straight up guy, but personally if I were waiting on an international shipment to be delivered the following day, I'd find some way to delay my two or three day vacation.

As I understand it, the US carriers (Fed Ex, UPS, etc) expect to collect the duty owed before they'll drop the package off. I'm sure JR must have someone at his home able to sign for the package and take care of the duty details...but I for one would be a nervous wreck while on my vacation!

I hope he gets his camera.

Private Auctions. The trademark of the typical ebay scammer.

Ebay shuts those down all the time. And yes, they make auctions private so the users bidding cannot be warned by people who have been scammed by that seller in the past.

David, how did you find all of this out? It will be helpful for me.
I think I just got taken advantage of. It was my first time ever dealing with an online-auction and I was being nieve. I guess I expect people to treat me like I treat them. I am too honest for my own good sometimes.
I learned a lesson and I hope I can save anyone else who deals with this jerk-off in the future. I will bet if I was a thief I would have a knew camera. In the meantime I just ordered one through a dealer and will now wait.

I am sorry to hear about your experience..............

Please let me know if he at least refunds th money or if you have to contact the police to achieve enforcement for fraud.

I guess a D60 for 630 US$ is not reasonable from the beginning - so in future if someone offers you an incredible bargain better be more careful because nothing is for free and the chicks are mine......

JR here is your chance...

http://cgi.ebay.com …?ViewItem&item=1369956750 (external link)

He is still in business. He keeps changing his alias. I think he is hacking into peoples accounts and filing under them. Hence the sunglasses by the email addy...

Ebay continues to close a blind eye to this problem. On the Ausy ebay you can file a fraud protest BEFORE you get taken and the auction can be removed...

I don't know who to buy from anymore...

I have everything I need to shoot the style of photos I want-except the camera.
I have the flash, battery grip, extra batteries, a fish-eye, lens, and 50-500mm lens and a 28-300mm macro lens and already had three cards.
I should have known, but I will wait another day or so before I try to bring this bastard down.
In the future I am going to pay the extra buck and shop with big name dealers.
