Day 2 of the GogBot Festival included the Jason Forrest Band (external link), which I've shote before. Light was different from the last time. A bit more difficult, but I think I might actually prefer it. (I certainly didn't while shooting). It also helps that you've seen a band before: Makes it a bit more predictable...

All images starting here (external link).

Usual equipment. All images through LR. Exif is there.

#1: Keytar:

#2: A different kind of 'air guitar':

#3: And off course, the best timed capture is motion blurred:

#4: Guitar:

#7: Tasty!:

#8: Everybody still likes the guitar player:

#2 would have caused all kinds of problems w/ me in ACR i'd think. you did a nice job w/ PP on that.

3's a real fun shot. 4....headstock....<shakes finger> ;)

5's a nice image though the hand's blown out a bit. 7 i would have cropped tighter. 8's a fun shot too.

all images are nice and sharp.

I was trying to keep the mic out of the image... But yeah.

#5: Yep. Not recoverable either in LR. Might be possible by blending two exposures in PS...

#7: Got a point. Don't know why I didn't. Must have liked the space.

#8: Yep, it's a fun band. Would have been nice if I'ld had a bit more room (and time) to move in... One step to the left might have been better.

Very probable.
I hadn't looked into the sharpening of LR. (good read here (external link)) So my settings, combined with ManykSRS afterward was a bit too much / the wrong way. That's why there seems to be so much noise in #1 as well.

I've some different settings for sharpening now, and I think they work a lot better. (See my Soft machine thread)
