I want to get this challenge seeded and the only thing I have to offer is this dead boar. I spent 2 hours hanging around, hoping to get photos of the vultures, but they just kept circling high with no inclination to deal with me.

Road Kill Cafe - All You Can Eat

Ok Joe, here are your buzzards sitting down to a family dinner.
Those beaks do a great job of ripping off chunks of flesh.

Waiting

Canon S2IS, f/5.0, ISO 50, 1/100

I didn't see the face on the tree guarding the old cemetery chapel until after I took it home. It was cropped to highlight the tree but its located at the bottom of the hill where the chapel sits overlooking the cemetery. Its a beautiful place of final resting overlooking the a lake.

And without further delay...the winners are:

1. Mishnogram - Waiting
I really liked the feel of this photo. I think the B&W was perfect for it. To me, it looks like a long, sad road down to the chapel in the cemetary. Nice job.

2. Edd S. - This Is Not The End
I also liked the look of this. My eye keeps getting drawn to the shadow of the cross falling directly on that small gravestone in the background. Good catch.

3. Spur - Road Kill Cafe - All You Can Eat
Buzzards and vultures are the epitome of death. I hope you got this shot at the long end of your zoom!

Nice shots to everyone else, I liked some of the interpretations of death to you guys. I also thought it would've been cool to get some shots of dying leaves/flowers/etc.

Once again, I really apologize for the delay. Mishnogram, this week's challenge is up to you!

drocpsu, thanks for the first place selection. I'm at work right now and just checking but I'll have the new challenge up during my lunch time.

Thanks
