What's wrong with my 300D?

I'm not sure whether to stretch my budget to get a 40D or get a cheaper one 400D and keep buying a new model once it become obsolete.

What do you guys think?

If you're looking for high frame rates, the 400D will be better than the 300D and it might serve your needs.. but the 30D or 40D might be even better for that particular purpose. I upgraded from film to a 350D to a 400D. For the 400D upgrade, I just really needed the better focusing accuracy and there was no reason to spend lots more for other cool features I didn't really need.

Surely the answer to that is, buy whichever camera meets your needs the best, and then stick with it until it doesnt, regardless of whether canon consider it obsolete or not.
