Seriously, the darker colours of the canvas will show wear much more. The light colour canvas just holds up; the dark stuff washes out at folds and stuff.

I hear you but black is a prefered color for me. I looked at the Sand and didn't think much of it.

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.

Bleach!

Can you tie-dye a camera bag? Because that would go so well with my old manual bodies....

Sounds hard, maybe cause I know of only one way to tie dye and I'm sure there are others. Need a white bag though, although sand could do well.

One of the rip-off^h^h^h^h^h^h^hclone makers makes an off-white one, I believe.

Hmm. This is a tricky question. It's all about you though, you can either drink the beer or use it as a treat to get the results you want ;)

One question for you guys, when I see pics of the camera with lens down and LCD showing on top are you using an insert? Seems like you would need to, but want to confirm.

Yes, I do. Even if the camera/lens combo isn't in an insert, it's in a space delimited by the inserts.

Thanks Jon.

I broke down and picked up a black one today. I have to admit I'm impressed with how much it can hold. So far I have my entire travel kit in it. No inserts at the moment, but I might be getting one soon.

Sorry, I lost track - then you're talking about the F-3X? No - I don't use inserts with that; just what's in the bag (and usually not the velcro divider). All the others except the F-802 come with an insert.
