Ok when shooting in churches or at receptions, how many get the exposure, ISO correct the first time.

Or roughly how many test shots would you reel off to get the one you want.

I definitely do what I can to get test shots ahead of time. I run a few different possible shots to prepare ----- but ALWAYS shoot in RAW.

By the time I put the camera to my eye, I expect to have all the settings nailed (ISO, aperture, EC, focus mode, drive mode, WB and flash (FEC) if necessary) to get the shot I want, leaving me to focus (check shutterspeed - I shoot AV) and shoot.
I'll check the histogram as soon as it's convenient just to double check my exposure.

Usually look at the in-camera meter and adjust. So you can get it right the first time. After you've done a bunch of them, you just know. If you're new, then it'll probably take a few test shots.

I'm working my way to shoot entirely JPG... and NO, I'm not trying to start a debate over JPG or RAW, and which is better; what ever works for ya :D I want to speed up the pace of my PP and time spent on the PC and hate HUGE files.

I can pretty much nail my exposure 95% of the time. The other 5%, I just check the histogram religiously and make the needed adjustments. I'm getting a lot more confident with consistent exposure.

My exposures are bobbins and I don't care.

Thank god for RAW.
