I would like to offer a new photo session. The session is the bride and groom dress up in their wedding attire and have pictures taken before or after the wedding. Its a separate shoot done at a location of their choice. What would you call a session like this?

Would the bride want her hubby to be see her in her dress before the big day?

I think after the wedding it could definetly work as some times the weather can limit the shooting possibilities, I know from my own wedding in june, it just poured all day!

Call it the "Dress-up-in-your-wedding-clothes-even-though-it-isn't-your-wedding-day shoot".

I dunno. Nobody up here does that kind of thing.

Definitely after the wedding... Go to a nice beach or park and she won’t worry about ruining the dress too much... It’s well known as TRASH THE DRESS!
Type it in YouTube and you’ll see some very interesting stuff!

I don't think she's asking about trashing the dress.

well you don't really need to Trash it completely :) .. it can be a normal session but I think the 'bride" would feel more confident if you do it after the wedding!

I've seen it on the knot called "the day after shoot" (though not necessarily done the day after - sometimes done after honeymoon or ON honeymoon) Maybe for before you could call it "the day before shoot"?

Around here it would never go, the brides do not want anyone including hubby to be to see them in that dress before they walk down the aisle.

"Bridal", "Pre-Wedding", "Post Wedding", "Day After" or "Trash the Dress". It's basically whatever YOU want to call it. ;)

well, in Utah people are calling it "Groomals" and the shoots are becoming more and more popular. I did one the week before the couples wedding and next Saturday I'll be doing another one 2 weeks after the wedding. I'm just not sure if I want to follow the trend with naming it "Groomals"
