Hello all, I havent posted much lately, just been reading and trying to learn :) I shot 2 more weddings with the guy I have been tagging along with. Its fun, specially when all the pressure or well..NONE of the pressure is on me to get *THAT* shot! HA. anyhows I have a wedding this friday and one on sunday.. both for people that dont think its important to have a photographer there..again they either *didnt have the money* or *using disposables* SOOO my oh so wonderful mother in law volunteered me. Well I spoke to the one bride that is getting married on sun and it was like weve known each other forever.shes great and outgoing and I dont think I will have any probs with that one. She asked how comfortable i am with taking photos and If i am willing to climb trees!! LOL no.

than i spoke to fridays bride. I am going to be screwed for this one. first it is at a firehall that is not well lit. the ceremony is at 615-630 and reception is 7. now it WILL be dark outside. and I tried to get her to want to go to the park down the street that is better lit at night for photos..she said no i have 30mins IF that to shoot formal shots OUTside of the FIREHALL! SO i was nice and told her that I am no where near a pro, I dont know HOW to shoot in the dark and get a nice photo, I will try but I cant promise. She said she didnt care what kinda photos she got. just at least ONE good one of her and her hubby and one nice one of her..she said to just concentrate on getting *candids*.

ahh ok.. just needed to vent

btw I got a lense hood for my 17-55 for 4 bucks! YAY!

If it's really dark try shooting high iso (perhaps 800 or 1600), wide open, 1/50th with flash as the main light. It might be enough to get a bit of background light in.
