Hmm.. Mine does the same thing. Alt+1 jumps to the first hyperlink on the web page. Wonder if it's a IE7 thing.

You can even change fonts and see what is available where. You can start this applet by: Start -> Run, Type CharMap and click on. I have used it on all versions of windows starting from 3.x I think.
