South of Jackman Maine , about 30 miles north of The Forks, white water area of the Kennebec River. In my opinion the most beautiful spot in Maine, especially in the spring, the summer, the winter and the fall...I wait all year to come back here on the day predicted to be the height of fall color....equally beautiful after a snow storm...come and bring your cameras...

Really nice shot, thanks for sharing. It looks like a really peaceful place.

Thanks Travisj....It is so captivating when you see it...My landscape shots are my very weak suit...I wish I could do them more justice....I can't seem to get nice clear crisp shots of large scenes like this...maybe my tripod is too weak and gittery....suggestions very much welcome,, including recommended reading...

I would try to rescue the overexposed sky (if you have the RAW you can blend exposures and also include the distant horizon). I'd also reduce the saturation in te foreground.

Just think this will give you a nicer balance.

Thanks for the input CG...however it's more focus features I'm concerned with... The photo, believe it or not is pretty true to color...our sky here is hazy and has very little blue..in fact I used a cp filter to get what color I did get...and the color of the forground is quite accurate as they were almost dayglow to the eye with the sun shining on the leaves...I would just like to get more of the correct focus on maybe the center area of the shot..or maybe on the mountains??? what ever I do with it, setting f stops from 10-28 I still get everything somewhat blurry...and always a tad muddy......

That's a pretty amazing view; would love to see it in person

Beautiful spot. Maine is a wonderful place to shoot anytime of the year but in the fall it is a special place.
