From another thread. Keep the quote's source anonymous in this thread, please. I don't want to address the poster, just the issue. Is this really the place to come when you're bored?

Feel free to add your own comments to the issue.

"Am I bored" was asked of me earlier, I guess the fact that I don't hang out in the "General Chat" area very much probably answers that question....surely this is where the bored come to find a topic and get lost in it for a while.

I'm stuck at work 40 hours a week in an office where I can bring my laptop and do my homework for school. If I were not at work I would rather be out shooting, but I am here.....
Not to say in the least that I don't like POTN. But if I were not in this office I would not be on here.

Bored? I think not.

Covering Ronald's bounced checks. ;)

Bored? I think not.

Dusting Belmondo's boxes, taking inventory on his vast collection. Watching him shine CDS's shoes.

Bored? You're darn right I'm bored.

Some of the posts in the Chat area are just funny, so I keep coming back for more, just in case there's another one posted... it's not the same reading back on a topic. Plus, I keep my insults(jokingly) honed sharp for my coworkers! Not that there's too much trash talk in the threads... there are some instances where I come up with comebacks that aren't completely appropriate in the forum...

Also, there's that sliver of a chance that I am bored at work or I'm back from flying and I just don't want to touch the paperwork that I get on the threads... I can't see the photos on my workstation anyway... makes it convenient to spend a few minutes from time to time to chat.

I come to the General Chat forum to get some comical relief :). I just like to see what everyone else is talking about in here and just enjoy the general talk...really typing...of whats in this corner of POTN. Some of the other sections are just not for me...and going through the photo sharing sections can be depressing at times when you see someones shots and wish you were at that location, getting that shot, wanting that camera, lens or what ever else....wait back on topic...its fun here to just sit back, kick off your shoes and unwind.:)

I imagine most guys are like me...you just don't like to get caught without some money. It's embarassing! Cash is rarely "denied". Checks are very feminine, btw. Nothing like bringing a note saying you didn't have the cash with you. A check's no better than an IOU. Takes forever, too.

I like to keep a 17-40's worth on me. That way I can get what I want, when I want. If it's more than that, I just break out the check card.
