Canon 40d - quick question

Greets,

I'm a proud owner of a CANON eos 40d on the other end of the world, Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have a little issue (or is it my imagination); it seemed I could be closer to the subject to focus with my ex. cam. 30d using the 70-200 f.2.8 compared to the 40d. Could this be correct?

well the VF is slightly bigger as in area of FOV, and brighter, that may give a feeling of it being in a different position

Minumum focusing distance is a function of the lens, not the camera, so it should be the same on both cameras. Have you checked to make sure your focus limiter switch is not set to the longer setting?

I did try that, still, it is not that big of a deal I was just curious. I will play with it. I must add that his camera is has more than I expected after following the posts and complaints on this forum for a month before I got it.
