Im understanding this to be a store only warranty? Like an OEM warranty on computer hardware?

And I have seen thousands of used cameras here, other sites and Ebay and never see them list expired USA warranted model listed as a selling feature. This would leave a whole lot of people in limbo about whether they could get thiers repaired or not later down the road.
