Met up with this kid to get a few shots this morning. The sun finally broke through the clouds at about 10 giving us an hour to shoot.

A sneaker set came and washed up the beach dragging my camera bag (containing my film body, 17-40mm, 70-200mm, 580EX, and pocket wizards) about 30 feet before I was able to grab it. I'll be going back this evening when the tide drops.

Ouch Ben!! I hang my bag on the Tripod hook...makes the tripod super stable along with protection from wet ground and errant tides!! #2 shows that nice morning light and conditions....

Painful to hear about your bag dude.:(

With regards to the photos; I really like 1 & 2, but 3 is a little boring for my liking. It's obvious he's just pulled a turn, but it's like the shot was taken after it. That little shack in the second is so nice. Makes me wanna paddle out for a wave right now;)

Yep...20D, 600mm, iso 100, f/5.6, and either 1/1000 or 1/1250.

The gear is fine. The only thing that got wet is some spare batteries. We'll see if those work today.

Agree with the others - #2 is sweet. Lovin' the reflection.
