Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps .. why not add perhaps they are closely related to Santa and are giving away work in a big red bag?

500 photos for $600 is more likely to be crap than any of the "perhaps" you offered.

Re-read the original question .. he surveyed the competition so this is not some isolated dilettante with a day job or some pro-bono bozo with a hard-on for bridesmaids charging the $600 .. it's the wedding shooters in his area.

You do have a way with words if not logic... "crap" and "hard-on"?? All with no basis in fact?

BTW I just Googled the OP's location for wedding photographers in his area and looked at the first ten sites I found...

Five offered no pricing on their site.

The others offered the following packages:

a. $2K to $4.9K
b. $2K to $4.95K
c. $1.8K and up
d. $1.895K to $4.395K
e. $3K to $15K

Certainly a living wage for a good photographer with a worthy portfolio I would think assuming he/she can book enough weddings over the course of the year.

Jim -- I keep the Leica D-Lux 7 in the Glove Box just in case!

I have a full time job and that still doesn't pay the bills so I supplement with wedding photography (I work for the state of WV, need I say more?) I don't aim for the high end market because this area is so saturated with high end photographers I don't bother..let them duke it out..the middle to low end here is plentiful because no one was to really deal with them..so it is almost wide open here so that is what I aim for and I'm shooting more than the high ender want-to-be's...I'm no way near the 500 mark but a lot cheaper than the 1800 cheapeast package that is around me.
