hey guys,

i sold a 1DmkIIn to someone and i need some help with verifying the correct shutter count. i used the 1D counter that i always use and the it says that the camera had less than 3000 clicks. i just need somebody natural to verify that this is indeed the case by using cancount or any other software that you know. i can send the latest raw file or jpeg file to anybody that is willing to help.

thanks

Snir

In case you haven't already sorted this check out. I can run a raw through capture one to see count. I did this for someone getting a 1Ds and found that cancount gave one (lower figure) and capture one a higher and more realistic count.

On 1D both figures agreed, weird.

edit: At work at the moment 6am here, so can only do this, this evening, time delay may not help you.

Hi Snir, I ran the pic you emailed thru CanCount version 1.33...(which is a copy I bought), and the pic taken on 7 Oct 2007 was shutter count #2906. I hope this helps.

If the other person needs the serial # verified, or any other info..or even just wants to get in contact with me to verify I am impartial, they can PM or email me.

Cheers

Hello Snir,
Ran raw through Capture One (Ver 3.7.7) and came up with #2906.
My Cancount version was too old for 1D2N.

I could run it through 1DCount on two different computers but I don't have Cancount.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)
