Hi Sydney2K,

I did the research a while ago and determined that the Impact Superclamp ( the least expensive) is exactly the same as some of the others you mention and will accept any of the Superclamp components made. All of the Bogen accessories will work fine.

Thanks TMR Design,

It certainly looks the same, I have a few impact umbrella holders that I really like as they are well built. Do you know if the impact superclamp has a metal handle?

Hi Sydney2K,

I neglected to mention that I own and use the Impact SuperClamp. There is no handle. If you are referring to the stud then yes, it does come with a standard stud.

I think the "handle" question was referring to the "handle" type of knob that the Manfrotto 2915 unit has to tighten the clamp vs the round knob on the Impact unit.

Hi Skip,

The Impact SuperClamp has a T-knob (oval shaped), not a round one. It is easy to grab and tighten/untighten. Works like a charm.

I have always liked the all metal knobs and handles of the Avenger or Mathews clamps.

Why did you end up with the more expensive one?

What does the Justin clamp have that the others didnt, how is it better?

The impact version.. Roberts suggestion sold me because I trust his info, but I also ended up reading another review on them saying that they are awesome. I think the only thing I would change on them is the knob - I'd take it off and screw on a bogen style one.

The Justin Clamp is just quicker to use and has a coldshoe attached to a ballhead which allows it to be position in any angle.
