Just ordered my 2 40D's, but I have a question for those that have already ordered...

For any of you that have ordered more than one 40D, did you get away with the duplicate order or did B&H cancel one order?

Na, their system warns of a 1-limit order. It will not allow a quanitity of 2. I just placed a second/seperate order, but I'm wondering if it will get cancelled.

Order it in your missus / sisters name to get round it. Can understand limiting to 2+ but 1 seems a little off. Guess it's because of possible shortages and letting everyone get their fair whack first.

I got an e-mail and then a call from their order verification department. They actually asked if I intended to order two or if that was a mistake. I said yes I need two, and they said OK.

Down side was I ordered it next day and it delayed the whole process a day.

This might be in response to people who buy more than one of an item, then test them out against each other and return whichever they think performs worse. B&H ends up losing money on the deal since they can't sell the returned item as new any more.
