Simply enough... What's your favorite Monopod and Head for Weddings.

I'm looking for something light (CF) that has fast setup/adjustment (levers, possibly quick-release features, but preferably not "twist") and the favorite head (ball) of experienced Wedding photogs.

Carbon fibre is gonna be hella expensive. I don't use monopods so I can't recommnd any.

But the manfrotto 486/488 RC2 series seems to be a popular choice for heads. I use the 486 and it seems to do a fine job with the 70-200 2.8 and 1D. Really quick and easy to adjust.

I have used them very infrequently but am attempting to be more creative and think out of the box so I purchased one yesterday from B&H----cant tell you how it will work but I going to force myself to use it for a few shots every wedding.

I love my shooting with my monopod. A monopod doesn't necessarily need an elaborate head because the monopod can spin. Really, I've found the only need I have is going from landscape to portrait. I use a Manfrotto head that tilts from horizontal to vertical.

My nomopod helped me to increase substantially number of good pictures with the 70-200 lens which I like using a lot during the reception for non-obtrusive PJ shots.

OK here it is:
- Bogen / Manfrotto BO685B NeoTec Monopod Deluxe
- Bogen / Manfrotto BO322RC2 Grip Action Ballhead (RC2 Quick Release) - Supports 11 lbs (5 kg)

Monopod was about $130 and the head $110.

I am happy with both, especially with the monopod.
