I feel like I am far behind with my post processing skills. I love the wedding photos you all post but when I see something that I love, I often wonder, "Ooooo...how'd the DO that?"

Can you give me some tips on how I can learn more about the most common features? But my feeling is that most photographers have a few favorite techniques. Tell me what they are and how I can learn them! (How do you all learn them?)

I think a more specific question is likely to get more responses but none the less.

I use Showit Effects (external link)for a lot of mine, either by using the effects that came with it, ones I have imported or actions that I have wrote myself and imported into it.

For framing I use Mikes Framer (external link)

Another popular action set (although I dont use them myself atm) are Kevin Kubota's Action Sets (external link)

I use Jeff Ascoughs actions (external link) for most of my stuff, as well as a few free actions (external link) from various websites (external link) (plus a few simple ones of my own) and I'm downloading Mikes Framer as I type (Thanks for the reminder Nick).

Alot of guys dont give up techniqe that easily, esp in the wedding field. Heck, even in the regular portrait field.. I once asked about posing band members for a shoot was was basically told to go screw! Wow, who would have thought that me, in Wallyworld CT. USA could actually be a threat to someone somewhere in Eruope, a place myself, or the local band i was gonna shoot will prolly never be in our lives..lol

Try Kubota Actions (http://kubotaworkshops.com/store/catalog/index.html (external link)). I own V2 and love it. If you do more B&W conversion, I think V1 is a better set.

Quoted for truth. It seems that no one wants to share their "trade secrets" even though there are tutorials all over the net.

If you want to make your photos scream WOW, need to know how to use the tools to do that...CS3.
