It has been a while since I posted any of my images here and it seams that all of us paintball photographers have been slacking latley! In the past few weeks I made a move from the 30d to the 40d and my only real complaint so far is the fact that the screen is to low resalution and tends to show what would apear to be a sharp image only to find once you get it into the computer that it is soft. Not as fast as Gary and his MIII (man that thing is fast!) but now when I shoot with my 30D it feels like it is missing shots (in other words I can hear the differance big time).
I have been spending most of my time messing with the settings while getting ready for the next major that I will be shooting in San Diego in a month. I will say that as far a shooting sports the Live View is a pain in the butt and I almost wish they left it off the camera (though I know that there are good uses for it.....just not for me at this time ....I need to experiment with it)
I think all of these shots are from the 40d with the exception to the first shot. These are not the best of the best so do not expect exploding paint and bunker shots because those go to the magazine first.
Thanks for looking and fire away with any questions or comments,
Michael

Image 2 - XPSL Fresno I love shooting on real grass! Not as much fun as mud splashing but can really help an image show motion. I just wish that the kids wore clear goggles so I could get the expression on their face (well at leaste their eyes!)

Image 3 - SCXL Hollywood Sports - This was one of the best fields to shoot in Southern California when they took care of the place. Now that the turf is worn to a dull finish it tends to shoot blown out. One of my main styles is shooting the players as they move between bunkers, it does not always ind in a slide but you can generally get a much better shot when there is movement. Heck you probably raise the chance of getting breaking paint (if that is what you are looking for) though that is not something I try to get.

Image 4 - NPPL Kansas City - Nothin special here just another example of shooting movment between bunkers. I guess the point I am trying to make is that it is much easier to sell motion to the magazine than a guys posting in a bunker (Unless you are Gary! Who gets tons in print....it is his trade mark) Speaking of Gary I got a sneak peak at next months Splat Magazine and Gary has some of the best photos I have ever seen in that magazine (not kissing your butt Gary, I give you a hard time about you posting shots all the time but that work was incredible!)

Image 5 - Bears Cup Event 5 - Again motion motion and more motion, the differance here is that I had these bright colored bunkers to work with. I love bunkers more than most because of the angles you can get.
Thanks again....did I mention I love my 40d?
