I am not the one who really cares, but my girlfriend won't cheer up until I can quote some technical jargon that says noone saw them. (she will hold it over my head until i can prove it so if someone can give me good news that means i might get lucky tonight)

OK, tech jargon follows:

The buffer in the camera stores pictures until they're written to the memory card. Once writing to the card has finished and the camera is turned off, the buffer is emptied.

The video cam a friend used on my last 4-day motorcycle ride (with a helmetcam) used memory cards and also had internal memory - either could be used for a recording session. The internal memory stayed until erased.

The XTi has no such internal memory. No problem.

Good luck tonight!

Most women get offended when their breasts are referred to like that.

It really depends on the type of picture. Can you provide some samples so we can ascertain if they fall within parameters for buffer memory retention? :p

The bottom line is that no one really knows until we check out the focal luminocity unique xray capacitor ... also known as the "flux" capacitor. I have a device here that can check the size of files in the buffer but cannot download the images off of it. If you send me the camera and the card, I can compare the file sizes and tell you the images are still in the camera.

Let me know ...

Bill

Tell her not to worry, that no one other then security guys in Costco should be able to see her pictures, and only in night shifts, when all that surveillance stuff is up and running.. ;)
