Well, we made it through our first wedding shoot (my wife and I shoot together). It seems to have come out alright, but I want to get the advice and criticism of as many long-term weddingphotographers out on the forum.

Here is the link to our photos for the Wolterman Wedding:

Any constructive citicism would be greatly appreciated as we are new to this and want to improve.

Thank you,

-Brett

I like 'em .. some of the more experienced here will probably offer suggestions but to me they look great.

I'm not a wedding photographer, but I suggest you take some of your favorites (10 or so photographs), and put in a separate gallery so it's easier for people to give critique (422 pictures is a lot to go through) :D

I saw some fun pictures, and I think you did pretty good overall. Lighting for those shots of B&G getting ready is kinda flat (some are kind of dark too.)

Thank you on that Kim regarding the B&G...I'll review those again and see if I can up the the exposure and contrast to get them brighter and less flat. Any other ideas on how to get them to be less flat beside contrast? I've got Lightroom to tweak them with.

Thanks for the gallery suggestion too Kim. The only reason I don't want to do that is b/c I'm likely to put only the better ones and I want feedback in particular on the bad ones. To be honest, I can probably spot the good ones better than the bad ones...so maybe I should take the obvious good ones out. I'll let all know if I get another gallery up.

However, if anyone has the time...please just page through the thumbnails and find ones that aren't very good and critique.

You might wanna check out http://planetneil.com …h-photography-techniques/ (external link)

Also invest in off camera flash to create more directional lighting. (I find this thread https://photography-on-the.net …3900&highlight=off+camera is very inspiring.)

Cheers,
