 That's probably the best title and location I've yet seen Roeddel.

Question, as I do not have a 360 as of yet...and really desire it for Halo 3....what are you talking about when you say 'dreaded red rings of death'? Something going wrong with the 360's?

robert, yes. unfortunately, a lot of 360 owners are experiencing the dreaded red rings of death. symptoms usually start with freezing during gameplay and upon restart of the console, you will get three red lights (instead of green) around the power button of the 360. this is the reason why microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years.

and thanks for the kind words doc!

Sent my sons back, same symptoms but no red lights. They didn't return the same unit though, they had a letter in with the returned one saying to speed things up the replaced his with another working unit. So I guess they have so many they send out different refurbs so you don't have to wait as long. I assume it was a refurbished unit.

Hey Roeddel,

I'm liking that new title...what's the story behind it?

ohhhhhh, its a looooong story jim. but to cut the story short, the legend of Master Chief is very much like the story of Jesus. he was sent (or awakened -- for all you Halo freaks) for the preservation of mankind. thus -- B E L I E V E --

as you can tell from my previous avatars, im a big Halo fan. its a video game that started with the original Xbox, and now, Halo3 on the new Xbox 360. its a classic shoot-em-up game with a nice story line behind it. its pretty much a humans vs aliens thing.

but thanks for the kind words kind sir! :D

Doc, ill try to explain it as much as i could:

Halo is a ring-like planetary device that when triggered, could obliterate an entire planetary system. it was created to control the "Flood" - an alien species that "possess" every living organism it comes in contact with. Halo is worshipped by the "Prophets" who believe that by activating Halo, it will take them to their "Great Journey".

This is where Master Chief comes in. He is your super soldier summoned by the human race as the last hope for the survival of mankind -- by stopping the "Prophets" from triggering the Halo device.

I hope this helps! Halo, Halo2, and Halo3 was made by Bungie Studios www.bungie.net (external link) for the Xbox and Xbox 360 game systems.
