Well, after looking around here and S3users, I decided to setup a website. I had to do this on my own, my cousin didn't want to do it for me :)

I dont consider myself all that creative, so with that in mind take a look and let me know what ya think. http://www.photographybyjorge.com/ (external link)

I used Godaddy, for the both domain name and hosting. I have to say, those people that posted about the good things about Godaddy, you all were right good costumer support and all that. They had my name and site up in less than 2 hours when they said 4 to 8.

Enjoy the site and please pound me with CC on it :)

Hi Torrk, just had a look at your site ,it works for me I like the layout and the loading bars on the thumbnails, it looks very Professional with some great shots as well .
My only critisism would be the logo in the middle of shots is a bit distracting ,maybe larger but lower , Regards Paul

Yes I agree about the logo in the middle being a distraction to you captures. Also there is no contact page that I could see in case people wanted to use your photos or services. If you just wanted to have a brag page well its great.:)

I think you need to reduce the size of the "home" page (I personally don't think you should have to scroll down a home page), then add a "contact" link and maybe an "about" link so that people can know a little about you and what you do. These would also give more reason for your home page being there.

You also should consider how people will get back to your home page from your gallery, rather than them relying on their browsers "back" button. Once your in the gallery, there's no link back.

Thanx guys,

In regards to the watermark on the photo, I plan on moving lower on the next albums. But since you cant right click on the pics I might not need to make it big.

On the issue with the link back to Home from album, I used Porta to make the albums. I didnt see a way of making a link to home.

The About and Contact pages, I haven't done them yet. Next update Ill get them up.

Again thanx for the good comments and pointing out where its lacking, it all helps :)

One thing that's visible on my monitor is that the background on the "Photography by Jorge" logo on the home page is a slightly-lighter black than the background of the page itself.

Also (assuming that you wrote the source code for it) have alook into using html tables to align the elements on your page, rather than a bunch of " " characters. That would give your page more of a consistent layout on different monitor sizes.

Hope that helps! :)

Ah. Nevermind then. In any case, don't worry about it. It was just a minor thing that I noticed when I looked at the page source.

But I'd still make sure the background of your logo matches that of the site. ;)
