Great shots - great. Some of them could probably be improved with a bit of a "lift" in PS though.

Hard to pick a favorite as each one stands out for different reasons. Nice selections.

I like the composition, lean angle and the eyes in #1. I'm torn between wanting to see a cropped version to see the eyes better versus not wanting to lose the composition w/ the track and curb. #2 for capturing the crash. #3 for the slide and the eyes. #4 is a really nice shot, I just wish the Tissot background wasn't there trying to blend in to Edwards white bike/leathers. #5 is great and the Tissot sign isn't an issue w/ the green bike. #6 for the dark background and #7 for being a nice tight capture.

I agree w/ Riverlander above, but only on 1,2 and 3 as they seem just a tad flat.

Nice job! Thanks for sharing.

Great Images, love the BG on 4,5, and 6. You are blessed with a great unspoiled race circuit.

Cheers

Thanks gents. Yeah they need some PS work now I'm home on my desktop. I posted these from the lappy at the track and its screen isn't great.

Cheers.

Yeah I was just shooting from the spectator areas, which means backgrounds are hard to choose sometimes when jostling with everyone else for the same shot!

Next year may have creds and their is soooo much more that can be done with this circuit if you have the privileges. Anyone who has senn Andrew Wheeler's work will know what I mean.

Thanks for looking.

By the way, most of these were with the 300/2.8 IS and 2x II FYI. Limit for the event unfortunately - could have really used the 600/4 IS in most parts.

Christian, I'll have another look when I get home on my decent screen, I am interested in the sharpness of you f/5.6 shots. I have been advised to stop down to f/11 but my tests so far are inconclusive @ f/5.6 or f/11 ??

BTW, Andrew Wheeler occasionally posts here www.motorbikeracer.com (external link), real quality stuff from him.

Cheers

I'll send you some 100% crops. IMO the sharpness is there IF you nail the AF - which is a bit of a lottery with the 2x.
