i got a rebel xti ... still have my old s3 ...

buying the camera took me an hour to decided. i wanted the 30d, but after pilling on the taxes and extra lense, it became one of my pay cheques ... so i settled for the rebel xti ... which is still a huge step up from my IS ...

and i only have the kit lense :o

i'll shoot a duck when i can

that is all :)

Congrats on your jump to the DSLR world!

Not counting the 35mm film SLRs I've owned, my first digital SLR came after I was using the Canon S2 IS, similar to your upgrade path. Now, I'm with the 40D. It takes time, buy inevitably, you'll keep upgrading--it never ends!

.

-Canon EOS 40-D with vertical/battery grip, wireless remote shutter release
-Canon 10-22mm F3.5 USM (with hood)
-Canon 70-300mm F4 EF IS USM (with hood)
-Canon 28-135mm F3.5 EF IS USM (with hood)...and many more items.
-Check out my photography here (external link). And here (external link), too.
