I am brand new so if this has been answered I'sorry. I am having a problem turning on Live View on my 40D. I updated the Live View menu setting to enable but still no Live View. After studying the manual and my Photo Bert 40D card I believe that I have everything set correctly. Does anybody have a clue as to what I'm missing?

D'oh. I figured that it would be something simple. Thanks, Mark.

I would just like to point out that when I bought this camera I thought live view was kinda gimmicky. After using it a couple of times and seeing the precision you can achieve with the focus I am completely blown away.

I am of the opposite opinion, I do not like to focus via live view but I certainly do like to compose the picture on the larger screen, get a mini idea of the layout, then switch to focus in the viewfinder.

I would agree, when I first started looking at how to turn it on I was getting angry... I finally found it in the "my menu" settings and just do it that way.. Also the grid and extra digital zoom feature I use while in live mode and MLU helps focusing 10 fold!
