The Power of Niagara.....Frozen

This past winter, Niagara Falls had a portion of the American Falls freeze over, about 150 feet wide section. I work at the falls and have never ssen it freeze before. It froze for a couple hundred yards upstream, over the brink, to the rocks below, about 75 feet down. Gorgeous site. This was taken the day after a heavy rain storm, which created the ice-rink-type ice on the surface. Later this day it snowed again, covering up the smooth ice permanently. Soon it was melted.
