Installing for A560 on e-Mac

I have a dear friend who uses an e-Mac - the e-mac, as I understand it is an Apple computer designed specifically for educators. It came out around 2002 and runs OS X.

My friend bought a Powershot A-560 and tried to install the accompanying software on her e-Mac, but she gets a message to the effect that the software is incompatible with that system.

Does anyone have any suggestions that I might pass on to my friend?
