Nice to use it to shoot the Independence Hall/Liberty Bell. Nine aperture blades make for nice bokeh (although they aren't perfectly round, making me wonder if they are round aperture blades) and an 18 point star burst.
Just a sample.
Shot at 24mm f11 on a 5D.

I noticed that after just one day, the zoom ring is very loose requiring the use of a lock button when removing the lens and such. Not a big deal, just an observation. In terms of range, it feels much better to me, wide enough for my needs and 60mm is long enough for me.

That seems pretty standard from following thread from the start. Hopefully will have enough cash spare in the next couple of weeks to send mine to get fixed. Needs to be done before my cruise in feb though.

The Sigma loves the 10D. Cropped shot from my union picnic. PP using CS2.

These were all taken with the cheapma.

Overall, I think this may be a touch softer than the Tamron 28-75 and the color cast seems a touch warmer than what I'd expect from Canon lenses. Having said that, I like the 24mm wide better than the 28mm, the AF seems a bit faster than the Tamron, it's shorter, and definitely worth the $200 price and then some.

I got this lens for the occasional walking around or snap shots, so it's gonna go back into the bag for a while (I'm into fast primes).

Overall, probably the best optics for $200. A definite good buy. Even focuses perfectly too.

Mine spent 6 weeks at C.R.I.S. in Arizona, they had to order a part. When I got it back, the back focusing was fixed and it's AF far superior than out of the box. However, it was still too soft in most stops (my opinion and 3 other testers).

The Sigma has found a home on my 10D, where it seems to work better.

My lens took over 2 months, but they had to "order parts" for it. It still has a slight front focus problem but significantly improved . . . meh!
