Well i might have just answered my own question. When you switch the picture style in the Menu from standard to portrait or even monochrome, You have to shoot them in a JPEG format for the selected picture style to apply to the image correct? Cause i started to play around a bit with picture style and user defined today and when i shot in raw then converted to JPEG all the shots looked the same/ When i got home i tried one out in JPEG format in monochrome and the style was locked into the image. I guess since Raw is a negative digital image you can manually adjust all those levels in PP section as to were the JPEG you really can't and it is more of the developed digital image straight from the camera. Cause it will show the RAW image on the LCD in the picture style taken with, but in Adobe Bridge it shows it in the style, once the cursor is over the image it shows it in color? WTF is going on?

I'm i right or what am i doing wrong. All images shot in P mode.

You are correct sir! Picture styles dont stick around in RAW, There is a way you can apply them to raw images in DPP.. I have to admit, I use the Landscape a lot when I am out with the kids... Good stuff..

The pictures styles "stick" when shot in RAW, provided that you view them in DPP.

And, while in DPP, you can also change the picture style to view what they would look like in the other styles.

I read that on the canon website, But can you convert the raw to jpeg keeping the picture style?

Yes, if you're using DPP. Non-Canon software doesn't understand the styles.
