I opened my email this am and have another "potential" customer. I am not getting almost one a month. I must be on the scam email list. They are getting a little better but still their english is bad and they are scream scammer:
Hello,

My name is Mr Mandee, i based here in US..my son is getting married and
the wedding date which was fixed by the couple is on 24th November
2007.

So i am looking for photographer or videographer,i want a very
simple and creative shooting for both photography and videography. The
location of the wedding is in United States and the event will be about
7 hours long.

Meanwhile i will like you to get back to me:

1....if you will available for that date
2.....The quotation for the period of the service.

Regards

----The moron did not even put his name after the regards! I am thinking about email him back telling him how interested I am in his United States photography opportunity but he has to pay me in cash! Not cashiers check but cash.

So his son is getting married in the United States? Talk about providing you with details as to the location! Next, we'll have something like:

"The location of the wedding is on Earth and I would like to offer you an Earth wedding photography opportunity, for which all your expenses will be covered. This is my only son and I am open to your price for a 7-hour long package."

You should tell them that because the wedding is in the states, the price is actually 100 times that posted on your website. That or when you received the fraudulent cheque, let them know that it doesn't cover all of your costs and that they need to send you another one. At least, they would have to pay for postage a few times!

UPDATE:
I emailed "Mr. Mandee" and told him I could take care of it for $6500 cash in small unmarked bills. He obviously does not speak the language well and here is his response:

Hello ,
Thanks for your response regarding my enquiry,i am so much happy that you are willing to take chance to be at my Son wedding.i so much appreciate your effort. Also i will like you also to know that you are welcome to come to the party with your family and friends.the total amount for the Photograph is okay by me.Meanwhile concerning the cost its also afordable for me it must also be burn in mind that you will be receieving an over payment,i added the extra money so that you can really work and be there on time to cover
the whole celebration.also i will like you to know that i am willing to pay up in time so that there would not in any delay before that time.
However, the payment has been arranged. an associate of mine said he will be willing to take the responsibility of the whole entermainment issue,he will be sending you a check drawn from the US bank.he said he will be out of the country and he will not be back
until next month, so, he has make all the arrnagement ready before the wedding .Therefore i will like you to get back to me with your contact information you want to be written on the check.
Such as...............
your fulll name?
Contact address in full?
Mobile phone numnber?

He makes me realise that he will be sending you a check with the sum of $9,000 so i will like you to deduct your fund and kindly with trust aid me out to transfer the remaining balance to the wedding planner via western union money transfer for other arrangements .Their transfer details will be provided to you as soon as you receive the payment.
My regards to your beloved family and friends.
