Spent the weekend up at the cottage with my girlfriend and some friends and had a bunch of pictures when we came back. I'm still processing them but this is the first batch through. They aren't exactly artistic photography or anything, but I personally thought they were alot of fun. I thought owing to the amount of drinking we did, and the amount of sleep we didn't do, some of the photos are worth a laugh or two. Some of the photos were taken by my friend Dave, namely any of the ones that you see me in ;)

Most of all I really wanted to show off the low noise levels of my 5D...

I believe all the photos were taken with the Canon 28mm 1.8

I like the PP. How did you do it? Do you have an action made for the border and the noise addition?

Great work

Thanks :)

Processing is all done manually, I don't really like actions.

Alot of the noise was from the actual capture, the exposure settings were done very casually in variable lighting, so most shots were extremely under exposed. Pretty much anyone who wanted could pick up my 5D and take a few shots with it, so I kept things simple and set it on a manual setting that wouldn't blow any highlights and had a decent shutter speed.

Then some noise was added in post. The borders are actually a seperate layer PSD file that I have, I just pasted the border on top of the photo after all the other post work

Nice work Rich, I really like the frame too. I think all your friends from that night will be able to look @ these and smile. Especially Erik and Pauline whose picture I like the best!
