Lovely job on the Elise. How did you get a result like that? Lots of PP?

I really like the first Elise shot - way too many reflections in the Evo to make it easy on the eyes ;)

Yep the PP is HDR with a twist.

This pic was the normal exposure as set by the camera on ev metering at i think f11 with a 17-40L on a tripod at ISO 100.

Took five exposures at 1 stop interval giving me -2,-1,0,+1,+2 and then merged and tone mapped in photomatix pro to give me this

Then used various filters, tone curve adjustments and other tweeks in CS3 to give the final image in pic one.I know that a lot of HDR purists hate the effect it gives but i do like it myself from a personal point of view but find that i also like normal HDR images although IMHO some lack a lot of colour saturation but then some of mine are way over the top on colour for a lot of peoples taste.

Biggest problem i find is getting the lighting correct as they seem to come out better when the light source is artificial and have not had very good results with images like the EVO as the strong light from behind gives very harsh reflections and colour cast once edited in CS3 etc.

I would sell my left .. nostril... to work at a Lotus dealership. Wow. Fantasy come true.

These look really surreal, I like the effect.
