The 40D is a great camera I guess just the crop/mulitplication factor that is applied to lenses is the only thing that turns me off. In order to achive a true 24-105 you need a 15mm-66mm on a crop camera which doesn't exist. You can buy EF-S lenses, but alot people buy EF lenses for their crop camera either because of the range increase or their is no equivalent counter part Canon EOS 6D

Oct 16, 2007 19:07 | #9 Sorry guys...I was a little toasted, due to the delayed Canon rebate and me fingers just didn't hit that important "0". Your response is pretty much what I thought. I shoot sports mostly and do nature and portraits, so think both would serve me well. And yes I did give up on the III (for now) because I am a poor little church mouse hovering in the church of ______________

I am also wanting the Canon 15 and the 16 -35 II...are those good companions for these bodies? I also have 50, 85.1.8 and 70-200...Sounds like a good fam to me...but what do I know? Dawg, Tony

But I prefer to shoot with the 5D mostly. The 40D was primarily for those times I need the fps and 1.6x. ~Spaceships Don't Come Equipped With Rear View Mirrors~

I am also waiting for the next 5D...but in reality AI really like the 5D a lot. http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/8646/capture1o.jpg
