My new neighbor is a wedding photog. I checked out his website just today and was kind of blown away. He seems like a real artist in my opinion. I initially didn't like the way his site floods your PC but it's quick and the content is fantastic. The only thing wrong with him is he's a Nik_n shooter. He did say he'd go Canon if he had all to do over again but I have my doubts; His new puppy is named Nik_n. ;)

Take a look if you'd like. benjaminjamesphotography.com (external link) I'd like to hear your comments.

We talked about me going along as a second shooter sometime. I hope to take him up on it sometime.

I think he is pretty good too. And for some reason, looking at his page I knew he was a Christian.

Even with 2M Broadband the site was slow so I'd probably have given up if I was casually surfing.

Some very nice images on there but plenty of "weddings by numbers" shots that you'd see on any wedding photography site.

I'd probably come away thinking more of their web-design skills - even if I don't like slow flash sites - than their wedding photography skills.

Yup, some nice images, they are a bit too oversaturated for my tastes.
His site is too slow so after a few shots, I gave up as well.

I liked it very much. Looks like he uses a Lensbaby, and uses it very well.

I like his stuff. A bit oversaturated and overcontrasted but most wedding photog pics are. His website is ideal, to the point, no need for fancy setups and buttons to click.

Hes better than some Canon shooters Ive seen around here.ShhhHHhh

I really liked it a lot. I have fast cable modem so I saw a lot of it. It is oversaturated for some shots, but most are just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Really? I didn't get that..... and does that have some sort of bearing on the quality of his work? Not trying to pick a fight or anything but I'm always a bit perplexed when folks make remarks like this in threads on art and photography.

Probably would have been my reaction had I not known him. I tried to warn everyone of this before hand.

He is a Christian as evidenced by his blog. He's a good guy and not pushy w/the religion. He's self described as 'spiritual'. That's 'not my bag baby' but as Stephen Colbert would say " I may disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for my right to fight you to the death" ;)

Thanks for the info - hadn't gone out to the blog so didn't see that mentioned. That explains the comment.;)

His stuff looks pretty good. It is nice to have neighbors who share your interests.
