Hello there. Is there anyone here that has experience taking apart the back panel of Powershot S70? The zoom in/out button was broken and was cut in half. I managed to take off the 4 screws that hold the back panel with the body. But, still I can't pull out the panel. Is there some tricks or tools to pull it from the body?

My camera is out of warranty and I was hoping I could save few bucks if I could only disassemble the back panel. The back panel part replacement is only $35.00 and the zoom in/out button comes with it. Thanks much for your help.

There are more than 4 screws. There are screws on all 4 sides of the camera that must be removed as well. You'll notice the groove that separated the front and back plate. Remove all screws on the back plate side (which will be the majority), along with the wrist strap screw. It will stick being the first time, but it does come off as long as all the right screws are out.
