Trying to continue to learn Elements. This photo I took last year w/my XTI. I'm not sure if I punched it up a bit too much in Elements.

ya, oversaturated some. maybe tone that down a bit.
the blue in the second shot's top left corner is distracting.
nice shots!

Nice shots with nice colors. As SmuckerS2 said, somewhat oversaturated, With what lens did you take it? According to the exif you took at a focal length of 220 and 300 mm, so it should be something else as the kit lens.

Thanks for the input on this. I went in and scaled down the color a bit in the first one. I'm trying to learn to get the colors nice and sharp without over doing it. Its great to be able to come here and get other opinions on it.

Nolleos - I probably took that pic with the only other lens I own besides the kit - its the 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III. To be honest I don't use it much as I'm just trying to learn with the kit lens. I've heard plenty of knocks on the kit lens but I'm having fun learning it. I also am realizing that I'm getting much better pictures with some minor corrections in Elements. I picked up the Scott Kelby Elements 5 book and I'm very pleased with the results.
