I recently purchased the new Sigma EF-530 Super and ordered the '500 series' Stofen OmniBounce diffuser, however the diffuser was too small. Has anyone that has purchased the EF-530 found a diffuser that has worked?

If it's the same size as the 500 model, there's no Sto-Fen that fits well. The one that Sto-Fen recommends will fit tightly, if you stretch it good before putting it on.

Try one of these instead.

Or several layers of white pantyhose wrapped over the flash lens. The only problem might be removing them from their wearer :p
