This past weekend an environmental law group at my school spent the weekend at a place called Westwind. It's on the Oregon coast just North of Lincoln City. Beautiful scenery, and it was sunny clear skies the whole weekend, a rarity in this part of the world during mid-October. It rained for eleven days prior to our arrival, and stated clouding up again as we left on Sunday. Here's some shots:

Huh, these are coming out really small. Guess I need to change my photobucket habits. Anyway, here's some more.

Color's a bit screwy on this one. Should have used custom white balance, guess I'll have to dig the manual out and figure out how to do that ;)

Ah great series of shots, I like all of them, especially the sunset one. Great photos and comp.

The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer.

Goonies was filmed in Astoria which is further North, on the Washington border, but the last scene where the ship comes out from behind the rock was shot at Cannon Beach which is just a bit North of where I was. Check it out, I was there a couple months ago:

Very nice! I really like the one of the sea lion and the one of the beach with the footprints! Thanks for sharing them.:)

Please know that I'm NOT a professional photographer - nor even a good amature!:D My comments are always just from a consumer's point of view!;)
